But for real, these are products that I adore! Let me tell you why.
First of all I love coffee. I really do. But I also know that most of the time what I really want is a warm drink, so I’ve learned to replace my coffee with these delicious drinks instead.
Dandy Blend tastes like coffee if you make it strong enough. There are so many ways to enjoy this mix but my coffee is my favourite. It’s known to reduce withdrawal symptoms when switching, has no caffeine, is not acidic, no pesticides and is gluten free!! What you do get - Dandelion and Chicory root - helping the liver eliminate toxins, support immune system, balance blood sugar and relieve heartburn.
For an extra boost of nutrients I make mine with a tap of Reishi Mushroom, rich in Minerals, Amino acids and Antioxidants!
And when I want my coffee creamy, whether I’m using dandy blend or having a real coffee (it happens), I use my coconut collagen creamer by vital proteins. This is made of coconut and loaded with collagen. You just can’t go wrong! Collagen is responsible for maintaining healthy connective tissue, keeping our skin, hair and nails healthy, full, silky, smooth and wrinkle free.. Add those descriptions where you like!
A recent discovery has me loving this beetroot latte! It gives me the same cozy feels as coffee, except it’s vegan, gluten free, caffeine free and organic. It’s loaded with antioxidants and vitamin C. Beetroot is known to fight inflammation and to support detox!
While Caffeine seems to give us the kickstart we need in the morning, what it’s doing behind the scenes is that it’s actually depleting the adrenal glands which are responsible for production and allocation of “energy” hormones. In today’s world we see (and feel) so much adrenal fatigue. We were not built to do it all, to hit the ground running each morning and never stop, to withstand the constant state of stress that most of us live in.. our adrenals need all the help they can get and reducing caffeine is the perfect place to start!
Red lentil pasta - because pasta!!! 🎤 drop. Lol Gluten free and pure protein. You could literally eat the pasta alone and still get protein. Drizzle olive oil after it’s cooked and you’ve got your healthy fats and It doesn’t leave you feeling heavy or bloated. This is a staple in my house.
Cod liver oil. Epic brain food. Cod liver oil is the best source of fish oil and generally contains Vitamin A as well. Essential fatty acids found in fish oils are absolutely necessary for a healthy nervous system. Your nerves are protected by a tissue made from these fats! Your brain is made up of healthy fats. A fat brain is a healthy brain! However you should know that eating trans-fats will have the opposite effect. The trans-fats will replace or kick out the good fats from your body wreaking Havoc on your entire body, brain included. Vitamin A supports a healthy immune system and healthy cell growth. Win win here friends.
And last but not least, gut superfoods!! Have you heard the term, all disease begins in the gut? It’s true. Gut health us absolutely crucial, so let’s help keep our good gut bugs strong. We know that we need these great gut bugs and we replenish them by taking probiotics, but did you know that unless we feed them they won’t survive? So we feed them PRE-biotics. The best form of which is fermented foods. If you love sauerkraut then bless your heart!! But if you don’t, think about supplementing. Your guts will thank you and in return so will the rest of your body!
